*Additional Additional Special Note: Thanks to a mid-life crisis, I discovered cons. Yes, my first con was in 2000, in conjunction with turning 39 and facing the horrendously horrific trauma of anticipating turing 40 in the following year.
Thanks to cons, I've met the majority of cast and crew of Stargate, including guest stars (and I even one a big chunk of the cave wall used in "The First Ones"). I've met several Star Trek cast members as well, and two of the three primaries from Sentinel, as well as a variety of others, such as the original Hulk and the orinigal Beastmaster.
The only one I was ever truly "star-struck" with was Michael Shanks -- the first time. The second time I was too busy with con-duties to be "struck".
The only time I was ever truly "awe-struck" was when I found myself in the middle of an impromptu conversation between Gene Wolfe and Joe Haldeman and the World Fantasy Con in Madison, WI. I wasn't part of the conversation, mind you, just smack dab in the middle of it, and probably grinning like a goon the entire time.
